Introduction and Data Controller

This Privacy Policy informs users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information for Stuff Maps.

Stuff Maps is a serverless application. We do not operate any server infrastructure to collect, store, or process your inventory data. All your data is stored locally on your device, and any cloud backups are stored directly within your personal Google Drive account. You remain the sole data controller of your inventory information.

1. Information We Collect and Use

Stuff Maps prioritizes local storage and user control. Information is collected only to enable core inventory functions and the optional Google Drive backup service.

A. Personal Data (Google Drive Integration)

When you enable the Google Drive Backup feature, we access:

B. User-Generated Inventory Data

C. Camera and Storage Permissions

Stuff Maps requests camera access strictly to scan QR codes and storage access to attach photos to your items. This data is processed locally and never uploaded to any third-party servers.

2. Cloud Backup

If enabled, a copy of your local inventory data is stored in a private folder within your personal Google Drive. Stuff Maps does not access, view, or manage this backup data, other than to facilitate backup and restore operations initiated by you.

Your data is secured by the security measures of your Android device. To delete your data:

  1. Remove Cloud Backup: Use in-app settings to "Delete Backup Data and Disconnect from Google Drive."
